Interceptors or sumps are designed to collect and trap waste products such as oils, waste water, silt and other contaminated debris. They are typically located at garage forecourts, car washes and other commercial premises. The effluent to be trapped is washed into the sump where it remains safely contained without contaminating the vicinity or flowing into local watercourses.

To remain effective and to avoid run off, Interceptors must be regularly serviced, emptied and cleaned. RSC Group can remove the interceptor contents and transport the waste to a certified treatment plant for processing and disposal in accordance with statutory legislation. We can also pressure wash and clean the interceptor if required to ensure its ongoing efficient operation. Our service is undertaken in accordance with all Environment Agency requirements, with the required waste transfer document issued on completion.
